Mr. Santos has over twenty years of architectural design experience with emphasis on master planning, retail and religious design. As an Associate at Wakefield Beasley Architects Inc, Javier is responsible for Client Development, Design, Construction Documentation, Quality Control and Human Resource management for his team. He has successfully managed a variety of project types focusing on the production of construction documents, details and in fulfilling his clients’ needs. Javier holds both a Masters and a Bachelors Degree in Architecture from Tulane University and an MBA in Management from the University of New Orleans.

Outside of work, Javier enjoys spending time with his family and rocking out with his 90's Alternative cover band.

I choose to approach my work with humility because I know that in the end it is not about my vision, but the vision of my clients. My relationships have exposed me to solid experiences in a varied mix of public and private work. This work ranges across many different building types, such as natatoriums, military, veterinary clinics, educational, office, and sports facilities to large mixed-use retail and adaptive reuse.
Beyond a strong technical and people management background, I am a versatile designer with nimble graphic skills who can generate hand-crafted perspectives and presentation material in a short amount of time. I am passionate about design, but being able to effectively motivate and manage project teams has been the key to producing quality work.
Collaboration and mentoring are indispensable; the best projects can only happen when the right team pulls together".
